Parents and pupils in Keynsham and Saltford area have been put on alert after an elderly man offered a schoolboy a lift.
The incident reportedly happened at 8.30am today, 100 yards from the gates of Broadlands Academy, when the man, who was described as having dyed blond hair, asked the boy if he needed a lift to school.
He was driving a silver 4×4 vehicle.
Students have been reminded to walk home in groups and not to speak to any strangers.
