Man needs stitches after being assaulted in Kingswood

standard policePolice are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a 45-year-old man in Kingswood for which he needed stitches in his face.

The victim had been walking down Fairview Road at around 8.30pm last Thursday (6th February) when another man, walking up the hill, punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.

The man needed six stitches for his injury.

The offender is described as white and 5ft 6in. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PC Melanie Downton at Staple Hill police station, via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
