Appeal for witnesses after motorcyclist killed in Corston crash

corston accidentPolice are appealing for witnesses following the death of a motorcyclist who was in collision with a car near Corston.

The incident happened on Saturday (22nd February) at about 3.30pm. The motorcyclist was travelling along the A39 towards Corston  when he was involved in the collision near the Wheatsheaf pub.

The rider, a man from the Bristol area, received treatment but was declared dead at the scene.

Collision investigators carried out a detailed examination of the scene, which remained closed until about 8.30pm.

An Avon & Somerset police spokesman said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have been on the A39 or in the Corston area around the time of the incident.

“Anyone able to help is asked to contact the collision investigation unit on the force number 101.”
