Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys as roadworks began today on the A4175 Keynsham Road.
Kier Management Services is upgrading the water main for Bristol Water to keep up with demand due to the on-going housing development work in the area.
The two-way traffic lights will be in place for a fortnight. The work will involve digging an open trench so traffic lights will be in place 24/7.
A Bristol Water spokesman said: “If you can find an alternative route during this work please do as this will hopefully help with any congestion the works may cause.”
There are no planned shut-offs so residents should have water throughout the works.
