The clothing and homeware shop Store Twenty One at Emersons Green closed down tonight. It is understood that the unit will now be divided into two with Poundland and Pets at Home lined up as the new tenants.
There were long queues at the check-out today with shoppers keen to snap up a bargain.
Store Twenty One, which also has a branch in Regent Street in Kingswood, did not want to renew its lease at Emersons Green and Prudential Pensions, owners of the retail centre, last summer applied for and got permission to divide the property.
The unit is flanked by Peacocks and Argos.
