Two rescued by firefighters after arsonists target Stockwood tattoo studio

fireengineTwo people were rescued from the flat above a tattoo shop in Stockwood which was targeted by arsonists in the early hours of Monday.

Extensive damage was caused to the Inksanity studio on Hollway Road after a maroon-coloured Citroen ZX was reversed into the building shortly after midnight and set alight.

Investigating officer DC Philip Osborne said: “Fortunately Avon Fire & Rescue managed to safely evacuate two people from above the shop before they were hurt.

“We need anyone with information about who may be responsible, or who may have seen people acting suspiciously in the area, to get in touch.”

Writing on their Facebook page Inksanity said: “Our studio in Stockwood was attacked and set on fire deliberately…This has resulted in us having to move back to our old home studio for a while.

“We are relieved to know that the people living in the flat above got out OK and were unharmed. Detectives are currently working extremely hard to catch the people behind the attack. If anybody has any information on this incident please contact us or the police ASAP.
