Developer Taylor Wimpey has submitted a planning application to redevelop the Somerdale site in Keynsham. Head of Planning Services Lisa Bartlett told members of B&NES Development Control Committee that the application had been received by the Council and that officers were in the process of clarifying some issues with the developer. It is expected that the application will be validated within days, at which point the official consultation process will begin.
In February this year, the developer held an exhibition in Keynsham as part of its pre-application consultation process. At that stage it was anticipating coming forward with a Full Planning Application for the new Fry Club and 100 homes on the site of the current club, together with an Outline application for the rest of the scheme.
