Take a virtual walk through apartment at Keynsham’s new Riverside View development

The old Riverside office building may be wrapped in scaffolding at the moment, but prospective buyers can now enjoy a view of what it will look like when finished. Gregory Estate Agents are now offering a virtual reality tour of the show apartment at their office in Market Walk.

The official launch of Riverside View took place today and will ultimately see the transformation of the ugly old office building into 95 new studios, one and two-bedroom apartments.

Almost 700 tons of material has been cleared out of the old building since work began earlier this year and the frontage has been cleverly designed to create terraces and individual facades.

Properties will range from £150,000 to £350,000 and B&NES Council, which is developing the site through its own property company Aequus, is currently talking to housing associations about some shared ownership properties in addition to open market sales.

Speaking at the launch event today Charles Gerrish, Keynsham councillor and chair of Aequus Construction, said: “This development delivers fantastic opportunities to support Keynsham’s regeneration, alongside Market Place, The Chocolate Quarter and other local developments in the town.

“As well as providing much-needed housing by redeveloping this empty building – and reducing the need to further encroach on the Green Belt – all the profits will go straight back into supporting and protecting the council’s front-line services.”

The first phase of the development will be released in the New Year with the first properties expected to be occupied in the spring. Buyers can register an interest now at Gregorys (0117 986 6644) or visit the dedicated marketing site www.riversideview.co.uk
