The tree that was brought down in the gales overnight
The overnight storms have toppled a huge tree in Upton Cheyney, which has completely blocked Wick Lane.
The tree damaged a garden wall at Manor House Farm as it came crashing down. Power cables were also torn down and crews from Western Power Distribution were out in the village this morning to reconnect supplies.
WDP said that the severe weather was affecting power supplies for thousands of its customers.
The Met Office has put out an amber warning for high winds today and for now it looks like there is no let-up in the bad weather.
There is a flood alert again on the River Chew from Chew Stoke to Keynsham.
