Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was picked up in a car in Kingswood and was then taken to Warmley where she was sexually assaulted.
The incident occurred on Saturday 29th June at around 1.30am. An Avon & Somerset police spokesman said: “The victim, who is in her 30s, was walking down Hill Street in Kingswood, between Tennis Court Road and Fairview Road, when she was approached by a black man who was driving a dark-coloured BMW.
“She got into the car with him and was driven to an address in Warmley where she was sexually assaulted. ”
The assault was reported to police and an investigation has begun.
“Detectives would particularly like to speak to anyone who saw the victim get in the car or saw someone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.”
