Downend Horticultural Society welcomed visitors to its 69th flower show today.
The show, which was held at Page Hall in Page Road, Staple Hill, also had sections for vegetables, fruit, pot plants, handicrafts and cookery, and was sponsored by Fonthill Garden Centre at Bitton.
In total there were almost 100 classes that people could enter and there was an array of cups and trophies to be won.
The horticultural society, which holds its meetings every second Thursday of the month at the Assembly Hall in Salisbury Road, Downend, welcomes new members. For more information contact the chairman Miss Brake on 0117 956 0178.
