A man was arrested following an incident in Caldicot Close in Willsbridge yesterday in which two police officers were injured.
South Western Ambulance Service have confirmed that they attended a private address in Willsbridge following a call at 9.46am.
Avon & Somerset police say that officers were called to support the ambulance service with an incident they were dealing with in Caldicot Close at about 10.15am.
A police spokesperson said: “While at the scene, two police officers sustained an injury. A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries continue.”
Details of the incident have not been revealed but people in the area posted on Facebook that they saw armed police in the road and three ambulances heading towards Bath with a police escort.
There was also speculation that someone may have been shot but police say there wasn’t a shooting.
