Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision between a car and a cyclist in Downend yesterday.
The incident happened at the junction of Overndale Road and Bromley Heath Road at about 5.45am.
The cyclist suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. The road was closed to allow an examination of the scene to take place.
