True to its name, Costa Coffee wants to bring a real touch of the Mediterranean to Keynsham High Street. It has just lodged a planning application to use part of the pavement in front of the cafe for three outside tables and chairs. The area would be enclosed by a fabric barrier. Last year, B&NES Council implemented strict new regulations on the use of advertising A boards outside business premises following concerns over obstructions on the highway for pedestrians with sight and mobility difficulties. Members of the public have until 9th May to submit comments on the application to B&NES Council Planning Department. The application reference is 13/01412/FUL.
