A man has appeared in court today after the mugging of an elderly couple in Kingswood on 2nd June.
Scott James, 32, of no fixed abode, appeared before North Avon magistrates charged with robbery and common assault.
He was remanded in custody and is due at Bristol Crown Court on 16th July.
The couple were robbed in Southey Avenue as they walked home after a shopping trip.
