Police have stepped up their patrols in response to reports of objects being thrown at cars in in Manor Road, Mangotsfield.
The first incident happened just after 4pm on Saturday 26th March. A woman was driving with her young child when the windscreen of her car was smashed by a brick thrown from the embankment. Thankfully no one was hurt.
Officers attended and dispersed a group of young people from nearby Rodway Common.
A second incident was reported at about 5.20pm on Monday when a car was scratched by stones thrown onto the road. The driver reported seeing two teenage boys throwing the stones.
Police officers carried out a search of the area with no trace of those responsible.
Neighbourhood PCSO supervisor Georgia Bush said: “We’re carrying out high visibility patrols both on foot and by bicycle around Manor Road and Rodway Common as well as visiting local schools.
“This reckless behaviour could lead to someone being badly hurt and I urge people report any such incidents to us straight away. Ring 999 if the offenders are still in the area, otherwise call 101.
“We’d also like parents and carers to speak to their children. Please explain how dangerous this behaviour is.”
