The developer whose plans for an anaerobic digester facility in the Green Belt at Charlton Field Lane near Keynsham were refused earlier this month by Bath & North East Somerset Council have confirmed they will appeal.
Resourceful Energy Anaerobic Limited (REAL) have written to the council giving formal notification of the appeal process, which is likely to be submitted on Wednesday 6th April. It follows a unanimous refusal of planning permission for the proposed 92,000-tonne facility.
Campaigners from Protect Our Keynsham Environment (POKE) this week said they are disappointed to hear that an appeal will be made but are confident that if they can yet again present a strong case against the development, the appeal will not be successful.
POKE has called for the council to take enforcement action against unauthorised work that has been carried out at the site.
