The Week In understands that Mountain Warehouse, the UK’s largest outdoor clothing and equipment retailer, is planning to move into the Gallagher Shopping Park in Longwell Green.
Approval to split the old Outfit store into three units was approved by South Gloucestershire Council last year and last month we revealed that Superdrug is planning to move into the unit closest to Boots.
Outfit had been part of Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia Group and was one of the anchor stores at the retail park. Arcadia went into administration in late 2020 and the Longwell Green store did not reopen after lockdown. It officially closed in 2021.
Mountain Warehouse already two stores in Bristol and one in Bath.
The Week In has contacted the retailer to ask about its plans to open in Longwell Green.
We have not yet heard who might be lining up to take the third unit.
