Hanham High Street
A man in his 30s was punched to the ground by another man in Hanham High Street last night. The victim sustained a serious head injury and was taken to Southmead Hospital.
The offender, along with another man who he was with, ran from the scene following the attack which happened at approximately 8.30pm.
The High Street was closed for several hours last while specialist forensic investigators examined the area.
It is understood the incident happened close to The Jolly Sailor pub which is a Wetherspoon’s.
Detectives from Avon & Somerset Police are currently reviewing CCTV as well as conducting other enquiries as part of their inquiry into the incident.
