The Crown Inn in Keynsham goes up for sale

The Crown Inn at Keynsham is up for sale.

Under landlord Dave Yeomans the Bristol Road pub, which is also a guesthouse, has served the community well.

In 2021, Dave was one of the recipients of a Shining Light award which recognised community heroes in Bath and North East Somerset who went the extra mile to help others during the pandemic.

He adapted his services to meet the needs of the local community, offering a delivery-only shop, supplying food and urgent supplies to the local community 24-7, including to those who were shielding.

He also provided takeaway food and made food for any child in need in the local community during school holidays. The pub has also served free meals for the homeless at Christmas as well as organising gift collections and being a collection point for Keynsham Foodbank

Following the pandemic Dave has turned the space where the shop was into the Annex, a popular private events venue.

An announcement on the pub’s Facebook on Friday said: “After almost 10 amazing years at The Crown the time has come for us to follow new adventures and hand over the reins to someone new. We will be selling our much-loved business and baby!

“Whilst the pub is on the market for sale we will be open as normal offering our full service.

“All events and private hire events will still be going ahead and we will offer our help to the new owners with the future bookings.”

The post adds: “We would like to thank our amazing team, customers and suppliers for their continued support and look forward to seeing you all until we depart.”
