Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in on the Ring Road near Warmley this morning.
Emergency services were called to the A4174 at around 4.25am, following the collision involving a van and a pedestrian.
Despite paramedics’ best efforts, the pedestrian sadly died at the scene. Their next of kin has been informed who will be offered support by a specially-trained family liaison officer.
The road was closed in both directions between the Deanery Road and Wraxall Road junctions while officers carried out enquiries. There was major congestion on nearby roads. The A4174 reopened at around 11.20am.
