Storm Eunice has brought down another tree this morning on Bristol Road in Keynsham, blocking it.
Yesterday a tree fell nearby during high winds, landing on part of the footbridge that crosses the road.
At the nearby Keynsham Cemetery the town council has locked the gates until further notice due to large falling tree branches.
There are also reports of a tree down across the A4 at Saltford and in Long Road in Mangotsfield.
With extremely high winds forecast to continue into the afternoon, bus company First says all services currently suspended will continue to be until at least 4pm. Schools are closed and many council services across B&NES, South Gloucestershire and Bristol are closed and waste and recycling collections suspended.
Almost 800 homes are without power in the Farmborough and Clutton area. Western Power Distribution estimates power will be restored by 6pm.
