Permission granted for nine homes on dilapidated site in Kingswood

Sampson Homes have been granted outline planning permission by Bristol City Council to build nine homes and a commercial unit on a dilapidated site at Two Mile Hill Road in Kingswood.

The site at the junction with Kennard Road is boarded and has been vacant for almost a decade following the demolition of the listed buildings there in 2014. They were removed due to their very poor condition and ongoing public safety concerns.

The outline plans involve demolishing the small outbuildings still on the site and a redevelopment that will provide two separate buildings of nine homes with a self-contained commercial space at ground floor fronting Two Mile Hill Road.

Five shared car parking spaces are planned with access via Kennard Road, with provision for electric vehicle charging. A ‘car club’ will be offered via a building management company once the homes are occupied. A total of 22 secure bike spaces are also provided.

Pedestrian access will be off Kennard Road.
