Keynsham greengrocer WF Buss is to close in the new year.
Buss’s has traded in the High Street for several decades and used to have shops in Westgate Street in Bath and Stapleton Road in Bristol. We have been told that it is no longer viable for the business to continue trading.
The planned closure on 28th January will follow the recent loss of long-standing Keynsham newsagent Church’s, dessert parlour Chillin’, HSBC bank, and the Go Mobile phone shop, and the closure at the start of the year of Wright Butcher’s Shop.
There are new businesses coming to the High Street, however. Church’s is becoming a PDSA charity shop, which is due to open this week, while Olivia’s Boutique has recently opened in what was Chillin’.
A new café-bar – Mokka – is set to open in the HSBC. The Tandoori Garden restaurant is in the process of expanding into the old Trojan Blinds shop which closed last year. And the empty butcher’s shop has a ‘Let agreed’ sign outside.
