Police have today announced that a pedestrian in her 90s who was left in a critical condition following a collision with a Royal Mail van in Hanham has died.
The incident happened in Birdwood on Friday 15th July.
The driver remained at the scene with the woman until emergency services arrived.
The woman was taken to hospital where she sadly died on Friday 22nd July. Police say her next of kin are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers and their thoughts are with them.
The collision happened at around 1pm, not 7.30pm as the initial appeal from the police stated.
