The Keynsham branch of Extinction Rebellion (XR) will be holding a rally in Keynsham this Saturday (11th June) and local people are invited to come along.

The event starts at 9.45am at the bandstand in Keynsham’s Memorial Park and supporters will be marching to highlight the ever growing climate crisis concerns.

Attending the event will be the co-founder of XR Dr Gail Bradbrook, along with a range of speakers. The march will start at the bandstand and go along and the High Street.

Participants will be treated to a street theatre performance at the end of the march and a vegan picnic.

People will be invited to the park for a free feast, although you are encouraged to bring your own plate and cutlery. The event also falls on Farmers’ Market day, so it is a good opportunity to support local businesses and farmers as well as local shops.

Free parking is available in Keynsham on Saturdays in Bath Hill East car park.
