A police car collided with traffic lights in Longwell Green last night after swerving to avoid hitting another vehicle.
An Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Yesterday evening at 7.50pm, officers responding to a 999 call were involved in a single vehicle collision in Longwell Green after swerving to avoid another driver.
“The police vehicle collided with a set of traffic lights at the junction of Marsham Way and Woodward Drive.
“Minor damage was caused to the lights. The local council has been informed.
“The police vehicle also suffered minor damage and was later recovered from the scene. No injuries were reported.”
