Family issue tribute after body found in Stockwood is identified

The family of a missing man whose body was found in woodland in Stockwood have today issued a tribute to him.

Daniel Hill went missing from Bristol on 9th September. Police confirmed yesterday that human remains found in woodland near Whittock Square on Sunday 14th November had been identified as those of Daniel Hill.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

His mother Anne wrote today: “Danny was a one-off. He had a big heart that was full of love and he cared passionately about his family and friends. He was funny, kind and clever, he was also a very gentle, sensitive soul and we’re going to miss him so much.”

Avon & Somerset Police said the thoughts of everyone continued to be with Daniel’s family at this difficult time. Police are continuing to carry out further inquiries on behalf of the coroner’s office.
