Promoted: Chris Skidmore is now part of the Treasury team
Kingswood MP Chris Skidmore has been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Chancellor George Osborne.
Tonight Mr Skidmore said: “I’m honoured to join the Treasury team, working to continue to fix our economy and delivering on some of our key manifesto pledges, such as raising the personal allowance to £12,500, which will help to reduce taxes for thousands of working people in Kingswood, as well as introducing 30 hours’ free childcare for over three-year olds, which will also help many families locally.
“I have always been determined to ensure that getting more people into work in Kingswood has been one of my priorities as Kingswood’s MP.”
