Hundreds of cyclists set off from the Fry Club at Somerdale in Keynsham early this morning for a timed ride through the Mendips.
Cyclists taking part in the Wiggle Mendips Sportive could choose between the standard 61-mile route or a more challenging ‘epic’ route of 91 miles.
The ride was taking participants through the heart of the Mendip Hills, passing Chew Valley Lake and Blagdon Lake and into Burrington Combe and Cheddar Gorge before returning to Keynsham.
