Group study responses after launch of Keynsham plan

KNDP launch webWork is progressing on the next stage of Keynsham’s Neighbourhood Development Plan following the successful launch event last month.

Almost 250 people attended the drop-in event at the Space on 8th and 9th April, leaving their comments and observations on the town’s future shape. Now those comments are being evaluated for the next step.

Deputy town clerk Dawn Drury said: “Thank you to everyone that attended the Neighbourhood Development Plan launch and provided some very interesting, informative and helpful comments.

“The NDP Scoping Group have collated all the data and are now working on the analysis in order to formulate the working topic areas.

“In due course, an invitation to attend future working party sessions will be sent to those members of the community, business owners and employees of companies in Keynsham that have expressed an interest in working on the production of this community plan.”

Neighbourhood Development Plans give local communities powers to shape planning and development policies to best suit their own needs. There will be another chance to find out about Keynsham’s plans by visiting the stand at today’s (Thursday) Community Networking Event at the Keynsham Scout Hut, Ashton Way, (7pm-9pm).
