Fire rips through primary school

After a fire broke out at Pucklechurch Primary School on Saturday afternoon, money has been pouring in to a crowdfunding appeal set up by the PTA to help replace essential equipment lost in the blaze.

Already more than 150 people have contributed over £5,000, smashing the £2,000 target that was set.

The fire was focused in Year 1, with smoke damage to other classrooms.

Comments on the JustGiving page include: “We love our wonderful school and feel so desperately sad that everyone is going through this awful situation – especially Mrs Capel and the staff. So heartwarming to see how much support you have!”
