It will be a Happy New Year after all for Cafe Grounded owner Tobie Holbrook as he prepares to open his latest venue in Keynsham on Saturday 3rd January.
As we reported prior to Christmas on our website and in the current edition of The Week In, having cleared the conditions attached to his planning consent on the premises at 39 High Street, he faced having to wait until staff at B&NES planning department returned to work after the Christmas break. Even yesterday, when an environmental health officer did come to inspect the new extractor fan system and give it the thumbs up, he was warned it would be 6th January before a report could be written up.
However, this morning, notification was received from a council planning officer that the two conditions attached to the planning permission granted on 10th December, were considered ‘discharged.’
Cafe Grounded will now open for business on 3rd January.
