Murdered: Melissa Mathieson
A Brislington teenager appeared at Bristol Crown Court today charged with the murder of 18-year-old Melissa Mathieson in Knowle.
Melissa was taken to Southmead Hospital on Monday 13th October with serious injuries and died last Thursday.
Jason Conroy, also 18, of Savoy Road, has been charged with her murder and was today remanded in custody. No application for bail was made.
The family of murdered Melissa today paid tribute to her. Her mum Karen, dad James and her brother Alex said in a joint statement: “As a family, we are in total shock. Melissa was an amazing young lady who was always a pleasure to be around.
“She had a passion for music and was a lovely daughter and sister. “We all love her more than words can say and she will be greatly missed.”
