Boy seriously injured in collision

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Pucklechurch. Officers were called to a vehicle collision between a van and a small boy in Shortwood Road, Pucklechurch at 4pm on Tuesday 9th April. A 7-year-old boy from the area was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with life threatening/life-changing head and leg injuries. Police closed the road to enable a detailed examination of the scene by the road policing unit’s collision investigation unit. The road was cleared and re-opened by about 7.30pm.Police Accident
