Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Pucklechurch. Officers were called to a vehicle collision between a van and a small boy in Shortwood Road, Pucklechurch at 4pm on Tuesday 9th April. A 7-year-old boy from the area was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with life threatening/life-changing head and leg injuries. Police closed the road to enable a detailed examination of the scene by the road policing unit’s collision investigation unit. The road was cleared and re-opened by about 7.30pm.
The collision investigation unit would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and may have information to help the police. Anyone able to help is asked to contact the collision investigation unit on the force’s non emergency number 101.
