Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses following the robbery of a pensioner in Fishponds and have released this CCTV footage.
The incident took place at around 12.30pm on Monday 5th May on Vassalls Road.
The victim, an 80-year-old woman, was walking along the road close to the junction of Gill Avenue when she was approached from behind by a man on a bike.
The suspect then grabbed her shopping trolley, which she uses to help her walk, causing her to fall onto a nearby car. She then had to walk home holding onto cars and walls for support, leaving her shaken and scared.
An Avon & Somerset police spokesperson said: “We’re looking for anyone who saw a male wearing dark clothing on a mountain bike in the area at the time cycling in to alley ways at the back of Symington Road, Fishponds.
“We are keen to identify and speak with the cyclist in this CCTV footage.”
