rare winePolice are today appealing for information about the theft of 36 cases of rare wine worth £20,000 from a house at Corston.

The wine taken from the cellar includes two rare Champagnes not available in this country and a vintage Bordeaux red.

“We are also asking wine collectors, people in the wine trade and outlets like restaurants, pubs and clubs to be on alert if they are offered wine for sale,” said a spokesman for Avon & Somerset police.
