13 cars go up in flames in Kingswood

Appliance responding from stationA fire at vehicle workshop in Kingswood in which 13 cars were torched was started deliberately.
The vehicles were well alight when fire crews attended the scene in Charlton Road at 7.15pm on Sunday.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two jets to put out the flames. They took two hours to bring the flames under control.
A spokesman for Avon Fire & Rescue Service said that a 69-year-old man living nearby needed medical treatment after reporting breathing difficulties as a result of the blaze.
An expert fire investigator who conducted an examination of the scene has since confirmed that it was arson.
