Singer Christina Marie, from Fishponds, is joint favourite to win BBC talent show The Voice this weekend.
The 20-year-old legal secretary, a former Whitefield Community School pupil, is a member of Kaiser Chiefs’ singer Ricky Wilson’s team.
Christina Marie, who now lives in Redland, first sang publicly when she was 11 as her mum Sue was a singer on the Bristol pub and club circuit.
Last month Christina Marie went back to her old school in Snowdon Road, now known as the Bristol Metropolitan Academy, to encourage students to keep singing and performing.
From the thousands of hopefuls who applied to Series 3 of the popular show, there are just four finalists, all hoping to be crowned The Voice UK 2014 on Saturday (5th April).
The live final starts on BBC1 at 7pm.
