Man from Hanham due in court over eggs and flour throwing

police logoA 21-year-old man is due to appear before North Avon magistrates next month following a number of incidents where eggs and flour have been thrown at people in the Hanham and Longwell Green area.

Since February police have had reports of the occupants of a car throwing eggs and flour at pedestrians, cyclists and other cars.

Neighbourhood PC Andy Cox said: “These unprovoked incidents have caused injury, damage and distress to the people involved. Our inquiries led to the arrest of a man on Thursday 6th March.”

The man, from Hanham, has been charged with two counts of assault and released on police bail pending his court appearance.
