There’s a public health warning as the number of cases of mumps – particularly in B&NES – soars. In Kingswood, residents of flats in have launched a petition after Bromford Housing Association ordered the removal of play equipment from communal gardens. The first phase of the £11m refurbishment of Keynsham Leisure Centre has been completed. And in Hanham, AEK-BOCO’s plans for floodlighting, spectator stands and a 1.8 metre high fence around the main pitch have been rejected – although that may not be the end of the story.
