Investigations continue into road death in Kingswood

better qualityPolice say that a potential witness they wanted to speak to as part of their investigation into the road death of 43-year-old Joanne Denham in Kingswood has come forward.

Her body was found on Hill Street at approximately 12.45am on Sunday. A post-mortem examination concluded she died from multiple injuries consistent with being involved in a road traffic collision.

Detective Inspector Louise Boyce said: “This was a tragic incident and our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Joanne’s family.”

They are  keen for any residents or businesses with CCTV on Honey Hill Road, Hollow Road, Alma Road and Woodstock Road to get in touch as they would like to review their footage between 11pm on Saturday (11th February) and 1am on Sunday (12th February).

“In addition, we also want to speak to anyone who was driving through the area who has dashcam as we’d view their footage of the same period,” said DI Boyce.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision. He has been released on bail until 6th March pending further inquiries.
