Pensioner robbed in Warmley

standard policeA 73-year-old man suffered a fractured cheekbone and an injury to his nose after he was robbed of cash in Warmley.

The pensioner was walking along Wesley Lane, off Tower Road South, at about 7pm on Saturday 5th January when he was pushed to the ground by a man.

The man then assaulted his victim and stole money from his trouser pockets.

Investigating officer Det Con Louise Macpherson would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the robbery, saw anyone acting suspiciously in the Wesley Lane area, or knows who may be responsible.
