Four sets of roadworks around Keynsham – including two in the town centre – are under way this week.
Pedestrian improvement work began yesterday on Bath Hill. The work is scheduled to last nine weeks. There are off-peak traffic controls during the works but nonetheless they caused long queues in the town centre yesterday.
There are also roadworks in Charlton Road with traffic lights near HSBC and the Royal British Legion, which are causing long hold-ups in several directions.
Further up Charlton Road at Bilbie Green, three months of roadworks were scheduled to start yesterday.
And water main renewal works are due to begin in Chewton Road in Chewton Keynsham this week for up to 22 weeks which will see it closed at times and motorists facing long diversions.
