Louise Cox from West Street, Oldland Common appeared at Northavon Magistrates Court last week to face charges relating to the death of cyclists Ross and Clare Simons at Hanham in January. As we reported last week, Cox has been charged with perverting the course of justice. She is accused of giving a false name and description of the driver of the car involved in the crash. She was bailed to appear at a preliminary hearing later this month. Meanwhile, her partner Nicholas Lovell also appeared at Bristol Crown Court via video link, facing two charges of casing death by dangerous driving. He remains in custody awaiting trial, likely to be during the summer.
