CCTV footage released in renewed St George robbery appeal

Police have today released new CCTV footage as part of their investigation into a robbery at a convenience store in St George.

Two men entered the store in Two Mile Hill Road at 6.11am on Monday 2nd December and one threatened staff with what appeared to be a meat cleaver. They demanded the two female members of staff open the tills and then fled with the cash in the direction of Bell Hill Road. The women were unhurt but shaken.

The man armed with the weapon is described as stocky and around 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in. He was wearing a dark blue boiler suit, grey gloves, black balaclava/snood and a black beanie hat.

The second man was 5ft 10in and thin and wearing grey jogging trousers, a dark waterproof jacket, black balaclava/snood/scarf and black gloves with a white strip across the top.  He also had a black rucksack, decorated with a white patch and dark green lettering.

Witnesses said both men were white and had Bristolian accents. Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101 and quote reference 5219277995.
