Businesses start offering takeaway and delivery services

Local pubs and businesses have started offering delivery and takeaway services for customers in response to the coronavirus crisis.

The Bird in Hand at Saltford have been offering a comprehensive takeaway service if anyone still wants food but doesn’t want to stay.

The Crown Inn at Keynsham are offering meals that can either be delivered or collected and are also running a grocery delivery service.

Fonthill Garden Centre at Bitton are also offering a delivery service. Alongside plants, trees and shrubs, flowers and gardening accessories, they stock a wide range of products such as barbecues, furniture and dog food.

Meanwhile Blades Barbers in Temple Street in Keynsham have created a special hand wash area for all clients and also encourage the clients going upstairs to Dudes n’ Dolls to do the same.

They have also made Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm and Wednesdays from 9am to 11am as times to cut hair for more vulnerable customers and the over 65s.

UPDATE MARCH 23: The Bird in Hand have now taken down their takeaway menu. They say they look forward to seeing everyone when it it safe to reopen.
