Bus passengers are warned of delays and disruption of services this coming Friday (30th November) with Keynsham High Street closed for the annual winter festival.
High Street and part of Temple Street (from Iceland to Carpenters Lane) will close to vehicles from 3.30pm to 10pm with diversions in place. Ashton Way remains open to two-way traffic but the closure of Charlton Road between the Tesco car park entrance and the High Street will affect bus services towards Bristol and Bath while the A4 Air Decker service to Bristol Airport will divert along the Keynsham bypass.
Airport bus diversion
A notice from the Bath Bus Company which operates the airport service states: “Due to road closures and possible delays owing to large volumes of people expected on Friday, the A4 Air Decker service will be diverting via Keynsham Bypass.
The last buses to serve Keynsham before the festival are as follows :
The 14:30 departure from Bath
The 14:30 departure from Bristol Airport
All departures after this will be diverting via the Bypass and not serve Keynsham.
The first buses to serve Keynsham after the festival are as follows:
The 22:00 departure from Bath
The 22:00 departure from Bristol Airport
All departures after this will return to the normal route through Keynsham.
Passengers are advised to board and alight at Ellsbridge House or Hicks Gate Roundabout during the times of the diversion.
