The firm Mitie is relocating around 300 jobs to Keynsham this autumn.
Mitie provides facilities management, consultancy, project management and a range of specialist services.
This week a spokesperson told us: “We’ll be opening a new Mitie office at The Chocolate Factory in The Chocolate Quarter. This will see us consolidate a number of our Bristol sites into one location.”
Staff from Mitie’s offices at Harlequin Office Park at Emersons Green, Aztec West at Almondsbury, Argentum House in Coldharbour Lane and Temple Quay in Bristol will be relocating to the first floor of The Chocolate Quarter as their primary office location.
Mitie works in partnership with organisations offering a wide range of services – from real estate and energy consultancy, compliance, risk assessment and security systems to cleaning, catering and environmental services.
The move-in date is planned for late October. Sixteen electric vehicle charge points will be installed at the site as part of Mitie’s commitment to transition 20% of its fleet to electric by 2020.
Other occupiers at The Chocolate Factory include Pukka Herbs, who relocated from Bristol last year and Independent Vetcare, while St Augustine’s Surgery Medical Practice is on the ground floor.
St Monica Trust refurbished the old Cadbury buildings, with the other blocks used as a care home and luxury retirement apartments, with facilities open to the public too including a gym, restaurant and café.
