The wine taken from the cellar includes two rare Champagnes not available in this country and a vintage Bordeaux red.
They also stole a wallet containing some foreign currency and a credit card and cheque book.
The burglary was overnight on August 29-30 but details have only been released today. Police say the thieves must have used a vehicle to transport the cases of wine, and are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious that night to contact them.
“We are also asking wine collectors, people in the wine trade and outlets like restaurants, pubs and clubs to be on alert if they are offered wine for sale,” said a spokesman for Avon & Somerset police.
